Title VI and Section 504 Compliance

At the Latino Economic Development Center, we are dedicated to ensuring accessibility and preventing discrimination in all our digital services, in accordance with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 and Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act.

  • Title VI of Civil Rights Act of 1964 — No person in the United States shall, on the ground of race, color, or national origin, be excluded from participation in, be denied the benefits of, or be subjected to discrimination under any program or activity receiving Federal financial assistance.
  • Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act — No qualified individual with a disability in the United States shall be excluded from, denied the benefits of, or be subjected to discrimination under any program or activity that either receives Federal financial assistance or is conducted by any Executive agency or the United States Postal Service.
  • Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990 — No qualified individual with a disability shall, by reason of such disability, be excluded from participation in or be denied the benefits of the services, programs, or activities of a public entity, or be subjected to discrimination by any such entity.

LEDC does not: 

  • Discriminate because of race, national origin, color, marital status, sex, gender identity, religion, age, disability, sexual orientation, or familial status (being pregnant or having children under age 18).
  • Retaliate against any person who opposes discriminatory practices.
  • Discriminate in the sale, rental or financing of housing or commercial real estate; the provision of public accommodations; applications for or offers of credit; enrollment in private educational institutions; and employment.
